Things You Need to Know If Are You a Chemical Educator - Magazine Review

Indeed, one of the most important subjects in college is Chemistry and it is amazing so few students partake. You see, everything you see, everything place you go is made of chemistry - yes, even that person you see in your mirror; You are too! Now then, since this subject is so important to everything in our society and civilization, there is a very good academic magazine I want to advise you to take if you are involved in the educating of future chemists. The name of the academic journal is:

"Journal of Chemical Education," ACS Publications, content produced by the Division of Chemical Education, Inc. of the American Chemical Society, ISSN: 0021-9584.

With the newest high-tech materials coming on the scene they will assist us in accomplishing our goals for better fuel economy, more strength, safety, longer lasting, and a host of other incredible properties. The game is changing, and so too is chemistry. In the June 2010 issue for instance, I noted a great article by Sally Mitchell, designed to assist high-school chemistry teachers bring out their best students and allow them to excel.

There was another excellent issue in June of 2010; "Undergraduate Chemistry Education in Chinese Universities: Addressing the Challenges of Rapid growth," by Xiaojun Gou and Haishi Cao. One thing that the US needs to realize is that if we are to compete in this future world of high-tech materials, we will need more of our best and brightest studying math and science; including chemistry.

This magazine also has a great section on the latest books in the sector, and that really sheds some light on where we are going. I'd recommend this magazine to all science teachers in High School, College, and at the Advanced University level. Please consider this.
